Terms and Conditions
Deutsche Originalfassung (maßgeblich) →

1. Scope

These terms govern your use of the indoor cycling game “Pixel Watts” (the “App”), provided by Joachim Schuldes (Atomar), Kanalstr. 16a, 22085 Hamburg, Germany. By using the App you agree to them.

2. What the App is

The App is a training and entertainment game. Every figure it shows you — FTP, power zones, heart-rate zones, TSS, calories — is an estimate derived from your own input and your sensors. None of it is medical, health or sports-science advice.

3. Health notice

Indoor training is physically demanding. If in any doubt, consult a doctor before hard sessions (ERG intervals, VO₂ work). You use the App at your own risk, and we accept no liability for health consequences.

4. Account & leaderboards

Playing requires an account (Google sign-in, Sign in with Apple, an emailed magic link, or email + password). Without signing in, only the legal pages and the public physics transparency page (/physics) are reachable. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secret. You undertake to choose a display/rider name that infringes nobody’s rights and is not offensive; we may remove leaderboard entries with impermissible names or obviously manipulated values. Leaderboard entries are publicly visible — but you can switch public participation off at any time in Settings (“ride privately”). You can delete your account and all data belonging to it yourself, at any time, in Settings.

5. Paid subscription, trial & payment

The App is free to use in its base version, and it is not ad-funded— there is no third-party advertising (see the Privacy Policy, section 10). Beyond that there are optional paid subscription tiers (Breakaway and Directeur Sportif). New accounts get a 14-day free trial with full access; after it ends, access simply reverts to the free version unless you subscribe. Nothing is charged if you do not subscribe. A discounted “Founder” launch price is a time-limited reduction on the same subscription, not a separate plan with a different feature set.

Two purchase paths, depending on where you buy. In the iOS app, subscriptions are sold as Apple In-App Purchases; Apple is your contractual and payment counterparty for that transaction, billing runs through your Apple ID, and cancellation and refunds follow Apple’s rules (Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions). On the web, subscriptions run through LemonSqueezy as Merchant of Record, which is then your counterparty for that purchase. The two are separate price ladders and the prices may differ. Whichever you use, the applicable price, term and payment method are shown clearly before you confirm.

A subscription renews for the term you chose until you cancel it. After cancelling, paid access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

As a consumer you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content. Because a subscription is usable immediately, the seller obtains your express consent to immediate performance during checkout, together with your acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal lapses once performance begins (Art. 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive). Invoicing, withdrawal and refunds follow the rules of whoever sold you the subscription — Apple or LemonSqueezy. A goodwill refund beyond that remains possible.

6. Availability

There is no claim to uninterrupted availability. We may develop, change or discontinue the App. Locally stored data is your responsibility — back up results that matter to you, for example via export.

7. Intellectual property / third-party content

The App’s code and artwork are protected by copyright. Third-party content and its licences are listed under Credits.

8. Final provisions

German law applies. Should individual provisions be invalid, the remainder of the contract stays in force.

9. Language

This English text is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the German version at /agb is the authoritative one.
